Harry Styles and Lady Gaga have made their mark as fashion icons in the music industry, but now they are officially joining Anna Wintour and Serena Williams as co-chairs of the 2019 Met Gala.

The theme is "Camp: Notes on Fashion," inspired by Susan Sontag's 1964 essay. Sontag tackles the idea of camp as "ostentatious," as defined by the Oxford English Dictionary by rejecting the strict label and regarding it more as a "sensibility," or “love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration." As a result, the costumes this year are likely to focus on extravagance.

The Met Gala will take place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on May 6, 2019.
