Demi Lovato Is 'Doing Really Well' With Her Recovery, Sister Madison De La Garza Says
Madison De La Garza, Demi Lovato's younger sister, joined the Millennial Hollywood podcast to discuss her upcoming movie Subject 16, and during the episode, host Dakota T. Jones briefly asked the 16-year-old actress about her older sister's recovery. Lovato has been in rehab following her hospitalization for an apparent overdose on July 24.
"Demi is doing really well," De La Garza said. "She’s working really hard on her sobriety and we’re all so incredibly proud of her. It’s been crazy for our family, it’s been a lot."
Jones then praised the family's strength through these difficult times, as shared in their mother Dianna De La Garza's recently published book, Falling With Wings. Madison added: "We’ve been through a lot together, and every time we go through something we always come out on the other side a hundred times stronger than before. We’ve just been so thankful for everything, for the little things."
It's evident that Madison De La Garza is proud of how well her sister is recovering and shared that the first thing the two sisters will probably do once Lovato completes her treatment is "go to Menchie's" for frozen yogurt together.
Last month, Demi shared this message to fans on her Instagram as she continues her recovery process to get the help that she needs.
