Shawn Mendes Talks Friendship With Justin Timberlake, Sings 'Lost In Japan' on 'Tonight Show': Watch

Sometimes, good things come in threes.

Shawn Mendes has released three albums. And each one has topped the Billboard 200. The Canadian pop singer was the guest on The Tonight Show last night where he was involved in -- count them -- three different segments.

First up, the heartthrob sat for a chat with host Jimmy Fallon and made the funnyman green with envy when he talked about his budding friendship with Fallon’s bestie Justin Timberlake. "We’re actually pretty good friends now," Mendes said, as Fallon trolled him repeatedly by pretending not to hear the comment. Fallon showed viewers a picture of Mendes and JT performing together at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Vegas. "It’s really rare for him to bring people on stage, he must really like me,” Mendes quipped.

The pop singer also shared the story of how he wiped out on stage while trying to impress Dave Grohl, who was watching with his daughter at the side of stage. Fallon happily rolled film. Watch below.

Mendes showed he was a good sport by taking part in a new game called “Slay It, Don’t Spray It,” where both chaps took turns singing karaoke to pop songs, like Post Malone’s “Psycho”. Of course, there's a price to pay if you get the lyrics wrong: a squirt in the face.

Finally, Mendes does what he does best: he performed one of his hits, “Lost In Japan.”
