Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja sang the national anthem at the L.A. Galaxy and Seattle Sounders game on Sunday (Sept. 23), and the 7-year-old undeniably won the match after she stunned the audience with her mighty voice.
Last week, the Galaxy announced on social media that Malea Emma had won its first #GalaxySocial national anthem contest and would be singing on the following Sunday game. Shocking fans and players, the 7-year-old delivered a delightful performance with her powerful, deep-pitched rendition.
Tjandrawidjaja has been singing since she was one and practiced non-stop before performing live to the Sunday crowd. "I was thinking that I cannot do anything wrong because it's a really special song to America," she told ABC News.
