Google Doodle Encourages Voting On National Voter Registration Day

Celebs and organizations are also taking to social media to spread the word.

The 2018 November midterm elections are only six weeks away, and Google is reminding U.S voters to register on National Voter Registration Day (Sept. 25).

With red and blue campaign-like buttons, the Doodle on Google's main page links to the Google search term "how to register to vote #RegisterToVote" -- leading to voter registration sites such as the U.S government website and official resources based on your state.

The sites also point out the deadlines and help determine if you're eligible to vote, and how to update your registration information.

Google previously used a Doodle to prompt voter registration back in September 2016 (again, on National Voter Registration Day) ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
