Lady Gaga Impressed 'A Star Is Born' Co-Star Bradley Cooper With Her Cooking Talents

Lady Gaga’s star turn in A Star is Born has got critics salivating. And it was hunger that connected Mother Monster with the film’s director and co-star, Bradley Cooper.

Cooper dropped by Conan overnight, where he shared the story of his introduction to Gaga. Food brought them together.

The pair passed each other during shooting of SNL years ago. But it was at a cancer benefit hosted by Sean Parker when Gaga really caught his attention. Performing "La Vie En Rose," which appears in the new movie, Gaga “decimated the room,” he recounted.

They met the next day. “She was so present and open and kind. It was one of those things. I was hungry, she made me food,” the actor told Conan O’Brien.

As the story goes, Cooper looked in Gaga’s fridge, found the previous night’s pasta and got to work on it. “She made me feel so comfortable.”

Later, they moved to the living room and sang together on “Midnight Special,” video from which he used in his pitch to the Warner Bros studio. The film, a remake of the 1976 rock musical featuring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson, will hit theaters on Oct. 5. Watch the Conan clip below.
