Chrissy Teigen Is Getting a Target Kitchen Line
Teigen, who began her career as a model, got her start modeling for the red retailer.
John Legend might be an EGOT, but Chrissy Teigen is a Target team member.
The same week her husband won a Creative Arts Emmy for Jesus Chris Superstar, Teigen announced on Twitter that she's getting a cooking line at Target called Chrissy x Target. The collection will be available Sept. 30.
Among the 40 products will be a cast iron Dutch oven, cutlery, glassware, pitchers and a 12-piece cookware set, with prices ranging from $4 to $140.
She posted a series of tweets to share her excitement, saying, "I’ve never been so nervous excited in my life. I cannot believe I can finally say this is happening!!! Thank you for welcoming me and my entire family."
Teigen, who began her career as a model, released her first cookbook in 2016 titled Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat (the follow-up Cravings: Hungry for More is due out Sept. 18). Her Target line pairs with her passion for cooking — videos of which she frequently posts on Instagram — as items include tools she uses to cook and serve her recipes.
The mom says her daughter Luna "is a once-a-week Target shopper," according to Target's website. Her baby son "Miles has yet to go on his first Target adventure, but we will definitely be popping into random Targets across the country when we hit the road for John’s tour!"
Teigen began modeling in Target catalogs as a kid ("we shot the campaign in an inflatable above-ground pool and I pretended my 'little sister' was spraying me with a hose," she says), and later starred in the retailer's 2016 holiday campaign.
“We have a great relationship with Chrissy," says Mark Tritton, executive VP of Target, in a statement. "When we learned she was launching her own kitchen and tabletop line, we both knew it would be right at home at Target."
Teigen spoke in a Q&A with Target about the launch, saying, "I’ve always wanted people to love what they’ve cooked from my books. Creating a collection was a natural extension of my passion for food, and I am so excited for everyone to be proud of and truly love their kitchen and tools."

A favorite piece is her go-to knife; she gravitates toward a seven-inch chef's knife. As for her dishware, she wanted each piece to look individualized, "like raw edges and flecks of glaze that differ from piece to piece," so expect a more rustic aesthetic.
She also talked about her upcoming cookbook: "With the first book, I remember being a little bit nervous about including the Thai food my mom cooked for me growing up. I wasn’t sure if people would be open to it, but they loved it. So, mom is back! Plus, John tested absolutely every single dish, and there are many Luna-approved recipes (blueberry pancakes with cream cheese bombs, anyone?)."
Another star who has recently nabbed a home-goods line is Reese Witherspoon with her Draper James x Crate and Barrel collection. Witherspoon's dishware for dinner parties is based on her Southern-inspired book Whiskey in a Teacup, out Sept. 18.
