YouTube personality Shane Dawson just dropped a teaser trailer for his upcoming documentary series The Mind of Jake Paul, which aims to provide a window into his fellow YouTuber's life from an outsider's point of view.

This project, a collaboration between two of the most-talked-about YouTube personalities, came together through a series of tweets. "I know it’s controversial but i really wanna try more things like this on my channel," wrote Dawson on July 12. "I wanna try things i’m genuinely fascinated by and interested in. The ups and downs of Jake Paul’s life and persona is something I would LOVE to see from the inside."

"Let's do it," Jake Paul replied later that day.

In the teaser trailer, Paul -- brother of fellow YouTube superstar Logan Paul -- is seen doing his trademark wild stunts in a rapid-fire montage before Dawson appears to do a bit of self-reflection at the end of the preview. "What are you worried about the most?" an off-camera voice asks Dawson. "That he’s gonna be mad when he finds out what this series is actually about," Dawson replies. What does it all mean? Fans will find out Sept. 25, when The Mind of Jake Paul premieres.

Dawson has previously proved his documentary-making chops through a three-part investigation into TanaCon. The series explored the story behind YouTuber Tana Mongeau's disastrous self-branded convention. Originally conceived in response to perceived slights against Mongeau from flagship YouTuber convention VidCon, TanaCon has been compared to the infamous Fyre Festival.
