Christine and the Queens

Christine and the Queens are the latest subjects to take center stage in an upcoming Apple Music documentary tracing French singer Heloise Letissier's trajectory and personal life entitled Apple Music Presents: Chris, due out on Sept. 14.

Breaking boundaries worldwide through her self-expression and powerful songwriting, Letissier's musical methodoloy is laid bare in Chris, as the viewer is introduced to the singer's many perspectives and viewpoints as well as her own fight with a fractured personality. Showing how all of these factors influence her music and performance art, the documentary will be an extension of Christine and the Queens’s upcoming album, Chris, which is due on Sept. 21.

“Identity is a constant construction, you have to reassess all the time and redefine it,” she shares in a press release announcing the film. “‘Chris’ is actually me being comfortable in the mess." The album from the dance-heavy group is described as being about "love... risk... provocation."

Christine and the Queens will be playing a special one-night-only Apple Music show in Paris for her fans on Sept. 13, where she will debut brand new music off the upcoming album and introduce the world to the many personalities of Chris for the first time. Apple Music Presents: Chris will be available worldwide on Sept. 14 exclusively on Apple Music.
