After announcing #Hamildrop back in December, Lin-Manuel Miranda has released new and refreshing takes on the songs from award-winning play, Hamilton, in collaboration with current artists. The content series kicked off with The Decemberists “Ben Franklin’s Song” and recently enlisted Mobb Deep for “Boom Goes the Canon.” Now, Andra Day's heartfelt cover of “Burn” has received a video treatment, out today (Aug. 29).

The visual features Day's soaring vocals as Karmah Westbrook, the video’s protagonist, delivers a heart wrenching performance, searching for the moment where the love affair went wrong after realizing that her spouse (Raul Castillo) has become unfaithful to her. Westbrook and Castillo previously starred in the Sundance award-winning film WE THE ANIMALS.

The visual was directed by Aurora Guerrero, who was personally recommended to Miranda by renown filmmaker and producer, Ava Duvernay. "And special thanks go out to @ava for this one," Miranda mentioned in a tweet. "I reached out to her and asked, "Who's a great filmmaker I don't know about yet who should direct the Burn video?" And she connected us to Aurora Guerrero, so thank you Ava!"

Miranda has also announced that there is more to come, teasing another #Hamildrop for Friday (Aug. 31).
