Interpol Returns With 'Marauder': Stream It Now

Jamie-James Medina

It’s been four years since Interpol’s last album, El Pintor, which cracked the top 10 hit on the Billboard 200 chart. The sharp-dressed New York rockers break the drought with Marauder, their sixth studio album.

Produced by Dave Fridmann, Marauder features the previously-released tracks "The Rover," "Number 10" and opener "If You Really Love Nothing," the music video for which stars Kristen Stewart and Finn Wittrock and is now live.
Interpol’s trio of Daniel Kessler, Paul Banks and Sam Fogarino got to work on the new record in 2017, shaping it inside the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ rehearsal space in Manhattan. “This record is where I feel touching on real things that have happened to me are exciting and evocative to write about,” Banks says of the new LP. “I think in the past, I always felt autobiography was too small a thing for me to reference. I feel like now, I’m able to romanticize parts of my own life.”

Marauder dropped at the stroke of midnight through Matador Records. Stream it in full below.
