Lucinda Williams Announces 20th-Anniversary 'Car Wheels on a Gravel Road' Tour

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of her Grammy-winning album Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, Lucinda Williams announced Monday (Aug. 20) that she will embark on an intimate 12-date, 10-city tour in support of the groundbreaking record. The critically acclaimed album, released in 1998, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

On the tour, Williams will perform the album in its entirety, along with a separate second set of songs that span her career’s work. The tour kicks off Nov. 2 in Collingsworth, N.J. and will also make stops in New York, Toronto, Boston and Chicago. Accompanying her on the tour is her longtime backing band, Buick 6, which features Butch Norton on drums, David Sutton on bass and Stuart Mathis on guitar.
