Aretha Franklin Flawlessly Delivers 'I Say a Little Prayer' in Final Performance: Watch
In November, Aretha Franklin gave her final public performance at Elton John’s annual AIDS Foundation gala. She sang her 1968 classic, "I Say a Little Prayer."
Elton John reminisced on the performance on Instagram, writing, "She was obviously unwell, and I wasn’t sure she could perform. But Aretha did and she raised the roof. She sang and played magnificently, and we all wept. We were witnessing the greatest soul artist of all time."
The Queen of Soul died Thursday (Aug. 16) at the age of 76 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
