Halsey performs a solo version of "Closer."
Her smash collab with the Chainsmokers was inescapable from the moment it was released, playing on every radio station and bar on repeat. During her recent appearance at NYC's Governor's Ball in June, Halsey took the song a step back and performed a new ballad version of the tune, which made the lyrics all the more poignant.

The songstress gets emotional during "Sorry" following G-Eazy breakup.
In early July, Halsey announced her separation from very public boyfriend G-Eazy, and hinted at a cheating scandal on her Twitter page. Soon after, during her performance of "Sorry" on her Michigan tour stop, the singer broke down in tears as she sang, "Someone will love you, But someone isn't me."

G-Eazy surprised Halsey onstage for her birthday.
In a happier memory of the couple, the rapper flew out to Mohegan Sun Arena in September to surprise Halsey on her birthday. He taps her on the shoulder, and her face lights up as he delves into a speech on how much he loves her, leading the crowd into a "Happy Birthday" song.

The singer turned The Voice stage into her own Gatsby-esque party, with colorfully dressed dancers and her own diamond-encrusted attire. Big Sean joined her onstage for the song's remix, adding a bit of hip-hop to the pop tune.

"Colors" gets an acoustic twist.
Halsey performed one of her fan favorites at Billboard's Women in Music ceremony back in 2016, where smoothly mused over just a piano accompaniment.
