The Los Angeles District Attorney's office has officially declined to prosecute a sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, announced on Friday (Aug. 10).

According to the D.A.'s documents, as obtained by Variety, the statute of limitation on two charges from 2011 have expired and there was also an absence of corroboration for a sexual assault claim. The details of the original claim were not made clear.

In 2017, Manson parted ways with longtime bassist Twiggy Ramirez after singer Jessicka Addams accused him of violent abuse and rape.
