Four years after Magda Davitt, fka Sinead O'Connor, released her 2014 album I'm Not Bossy, I'm the Boss, the songstress unveiled a tender new demo, "Milestones."

The ambient, intimate track has powerful lyrics such as "This is where I get to be me/This is where you don't get to make me/This is where you don't get to create me." The message follows years of Davitt's struggles with mental health.

"This is just a first demo for fans because they never get to hear a demo," Davitt told The Irish Sun, who shared the song. "I thought it would be fun to share it.”

Fans will have to wait a year for her full album, No Mud No Lotus, which she says won't be out "before October 2019." Listen to "Milestones" at The Irish Sun's website here.
