Common attends the 90th Annual Academy Awards at Hollywood & Highland Center on March 4, 2018 in Hollywood, Calif.

The rapper will perform along with August Greene.

GOOD+ Foundation's star-studded benefit is just around the corner, and the nonprofit announced two more names that be joining in on the night. Common will take the stage as a performer, and Good Morning America co-host Michael Strahan will make a special appearance.

Common will perform with Robert Glasper and Karriem Riggens of his supergroup August Greene, who will be the event's official house band. Other previously revealed headliners of the night include Jerry Seinfeld, Leslie Jones, John Legend and Sebastian Maniscalco

GOOD+ Foundation has been working since 2001 to help low-income families outgrow poverty by providing social services, education and support. The benefit is expected to raise more than $2 million for the organization.

“Becoming a father made me see the world differently, and the love I have for my daughter is unparalleled,” Common said in a statement. “I’m passionate about our youth and making sure they with their families have the necessary items and tools to succeed, and that is why I am so proud to support GOOD+ Foundation and their groundbreaking work for a night of comedy and music.”

The evening kicks off September 12 at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage in NYC.
