Weezer Opens Summer Tour Concerts with 'Buddy Holly' Music Video Re-Creation

Weezer's summer tour set opener is a time capsule back to 1994 and 1974 in the best way.   

In a fan clip from their recent show at BB&T Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey, Happy Days cast member Al Molinaro is heard announcing over the loudspeaker: “Okay, kids, Arnold’s is proud to present Kenosha, Wisconsin’s own Weezer!” The statement sounds familiar, as its the same opening from the band's music video for "Buddy Holly."   


The curtain then pulls back to reveal the stage set up to look like Al's Diner from the hit 70s show. Rivers Cuomo is even decked in his original outfit from the video. Watch the opening song below.
