Get to Know 'Deep End' R&B Duo THEY.: Watch

In this week’s episode of “You Should Know,” Billboard catches up with R&B duo THEY., as they reveal how they first met each other, what their biggest guilty pleasures are and more.

Duo half Drew Love shares that he first met his bandmate Dante Jones when he moved to Los Angeles. “Dante was already out there for a little while,” he says. “And one of my first songwriter sessions, when I was in L.A., was with Dante, and we clicked instantly.”

Asked what those unfamiliar with their music should listen to first, Love names two songs, noting that “’Motley Crue’ captures the aggressive nature and the rap nature of what we can do,” while “’Deep End’ accurately captures the R&B side of what we do.”

The guys are also asked who should play each of them in a movie, with Jones opting for Denzel Washington because he would “probably be most accurately equipped to portray my character,” while Love would choose Idris Elba.

As for guilty pleasures, Love claims that his is eating macaroni and cheese, while his bandmate tells Billboard that despite being big on nutrition, he loves to eat at Taco Bell at least once a week.
