Ariana Grande Gives a Peek Into the Magic of the 'God is a Woman' Music Video: Behind the Scenes Clip

A week after Ariana Grande released her epic, otherworldly "God is a woman" music video, the pop star is pulling back the curtain to reveal how all the scenes were made possible.

Director Dave Meyers opens the nearly 10-minute clip with a little background on the vision. "At the end of the day, none of us would be here without a woman," he said. "To me, Ari took this to a transcendent level with the song."

"Each visual is a different crayon in the crayon box of womanhood," he continued, and explained that there were 45 different set ups in the four minute video.

The behind the scenes features plenty of selfie videos courtesy of the "No Tears Left to Cry" singer, including one where she gushes over the "stellar" day when Madonna came in to contribute. While the icon is not seen, she recorded a monologue for the middle of the music video. Ari's mom was so excited that she broke into song, belting "Like a Prayer" with her daughter.

Pete Davidson also makes an appearance, hugging and giggling with Grande. "That’s my fiancé,” she whispers to the camera. “I know right?” Davidson jokes in disbelief.
