In honor of World Emoji Day (July 17), Apple revealed a preview of the 70 new emojis that will be released later this year with the new iSO update.

On Monday (July 16) Apple started celebrating the quirky holiday a bit early by releasing a sneak peek into what emojis will be featured with the upcoming iOS update.

The new emojis and symbols include a variety of new hairstyles and hair colors, like red, curly and gray hair, and even non-hair options for popular emojis. "As always, some of the most vocal requests for new emojis are about representation representation, and this update delivers some of the most common requests. In particular the redheads and curly haired options are likely to be popular," said Jeremy Burge, the founder of Emojipedia and creator of World Emoji Day.

Also included are several animals, faces and food emojis, including a freezing cold face, a lobster, kangaroo, parrot, cupcake, mango, a peacock, the infinity symbol and even a mooncake. Although the new emojis aren't available yet, Burge does encourage that in the spirit of World Emoji Day that people "will will try using World Emoji Day as an excuse to lighten up their online communications."
