Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on July 11, 2018.

Dwayne Johnson paid a visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night (July 11) to chat about his potential political career, his new movie Skyscraper and more.

Taking the time to address the rumors that he might go into politics, it seems that Johnson, who has talked down the idea in previous interviews, might be warming up to the idea. He discussed the possibility of running in the 2024 or 2028 election, but emphasized that he'd have to put in the work and gain experience before stepping into the political ring.

Later in the segment, Colbert asked Johnson about his Samoan upbringing and singing in the movie Moana. The actor opened up about how he learned traditional, Samoan songs during his youth. Colbert then interrupted: "I understand that you used to warm up before you sang in the movie. You warmed up with a little tequila."

The host proceeded to bring out a tall bottle of tequila, pour shots, and challenge the former wrestler to an stare-down contest before listening to him sing a short Samoan song.

After that, any attempts to talk about Johnson's new movie Skyscraper failed. "The hell with the movie, let's drink!" Johnson said.
