Halsey attend the 2018 MTV Movie And TV Awards at Barker Hangar on June 16, 2018 in Santa Monica, Calif.

After a yearlong public relationship with the "Clyde" to her "Bonnie," Halsey and G-Eazy split on Wednesday. The "Bad at Love" singer posted an Instagram story saying that the two are "taking some time off," but adding that she "wishes him the best."

After crying onstage at a concert on Friday while performing her song "Sorry," a now-deleted tweet surfaced of Halsey and rapper Machine Gun Kelly spending some time together at a tropical beach. People started tweeting about how Halsey had moved on with MGK, but she didn't let that thinking last long.

The singer fired off a set of tweets confirming her single status, putting to rest any confusion from followers.

As it turns out, the picture in discussion was from March 2017 and was posted by Machine Gun Kelly on Instagram. At the time, the two were speculated to be dating, however a relationship was never confirmed on either end.

Halsey is in the midst of her international Hopeless Fountain Kingdom World tour, which is making its way across the States this summer.
