Katharine McPhee attends the 72nd Annual Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall on June 10, 2018 in New York City.

Just a couple days after news broke of Katharine McPhee's engagement to David Foster, the Twittersphere exploded as expected with opinions and comments for the couple.

However, McPhee will have none of that, since there are bigger issues in the world. "y’all should be worrying more about registering to vote and midterm elections than who’s marrying me," she wrote on Twitter.

"Thank you for coming to my TED talk," she hilariously ended the conversation once and for all.

According to TMZ, the couple, who met on the set of American Idol, took their relationship to the next level during their European vacation.
