Looks like Elaine from Seinfeld was ahead of her time.

McDonald's will now begin selling muffin tops, according to Nation's Restaurant News. Muffins without their stems will be available in poppy seed, double chocolate and blueberry. This comes as a part of the fast food chain's redesigned all-day breakfast menu at their "Experience of the Future" locations.

Seinfeld fans were quick to point out that this idea was first brought up in an iconic Seinfeld episode by Elaine (portrayed by Julia Louis-Dreyfus) some 21 years ago in 1997. "The top is the best part. It's crunchy, it's explosive, it's where the muffin breaks free of the pan and does its own thing," Elaine famously says, adding, "I'll tell you, that's a million dollar idea right there -- just sell the tops."
