John Legend to Perform at Freedom for Immigrants March in Los Angeles

The Families Belong Together: Freedom for Immigrants March is coming to Los Angeles on Saturday, and John Legend is set to perform.

In addition to Legend, Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas will also perform at the march. The artists will join Laverne Cox, Eugenio Derbez, LA Mayor Eric Garcetti, Senator Kamala Harris and others at City Hall to focus on opposing the separation and detention of immigrant families that the Trump Administration is failing to resolve.

The event will include voices of immigrants and refugees, and emphasize that families belong together. Organizers encourage attendees to wear white to symbolize unity.

For more information on the march, visit FamiliesBelongTogether.org. Activists who can't attend the event in person can donate to the cause via the GoFundMe page.

Legend has been particularly vocal about the current border crisis, tweeting this week in response to Sarah Huckabee Sanders' complaints that she was refused service at the Red Hen restaurant: "Let's make a deal with the Trump Administration. Reunite all these families immediately and you can go out to eat wherever the f--- you want."
