Alessia Cara attends the 18th Annual Latin Grammy Awards on Nov. 16, 2017 in Las Vegas.

In the midst of a radio tour promoting her ode to the stresses of adulthood, “Growing Pains,” Alessia Cara delivered a stripped down version of the single on Wednesday (June 27).

Accompanied only by her guitarist Eric Ruscinski and, as hilariously noted, her “neck vein,” Cara's smooth, expressive vocals perfectly capture the melancholy reality of facing the real-world unknown highlighted in the lyrics. "Make my way through the motions, I try to ignore it/But home's looking farther the closer I get/Don't know why I can't see the end/Is it over yet?" she croons.

"Growing Pains" is the first single off her upcoming sophomore album The Pains of Growing. Watch the acoustic video below.
