It would make sense that Kim Kardashian's return trip to Paris was emotional.

That's what the superstar described her recent trip to Paris with husband Kanye West as, in a new journal entry posted on her official website and social media pages on June 22. The two returned to the French city for Paris Fashion Week, where they were joined by numerous friends and colleagues in the fashion industry.

A year and half ago, Kardashian-West was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel. The thieves escaped with almost $10 million in jewels, including the Keeping Up With The Karsashians star's $4 million engagement ring. Three months later, the French police charged ten people in connection with the crime.

Kim details the trip in a letter on her website, writing, "Emotionally, I feel calm. I've truly put the experience behind me, and have learned and grown from it. Because of this, mentally coming back to Paris wasn't difficult for me. It feels refreshing to face my fears and overcome them. For me, there's no point in staying in a fucked-up state of mind. 'Feel it, go through it and move on' has always been how I try to live my life. I would never suggest to anyone how to grieve, I can simply say what has worked for me."

Despite only being a 12-hour trip, Kim explained, "I’m so happy I went back. It was the perfect experience coming back to a city I love so much."
