Ariana Grande Defends 'Pete' Song: 'Life's Too Short to Be Cryptic About Something as Beautiful as This Love I'm in'
Ariana Grande isn't afraid to share her love for fiance Pete Davidson, and she's not afraid to respond to critics who think she's coming on a bit too strong.
The "No Tears Left To Cry" singer shared a snippet of a new interlude track on Instagram called "Pete", which is set to be featured on her upcoming album Sweetener. Only a few seconds were released, and no lyrics were featured. However, the video did display a black-and-white visual of an upside down digital clock, which displayed 12:07a.m.
Grande's fans are never shy about telling the pop star what they are thinking, and the interlude track "Pete" was no exception. After one fan tweeted, "girl we know you love him but are you dumb," Ariana simply responded, "Nah."
The conversation continued after another fan said, "you really don't give a f*** do u," to which Grande set the record straight, saying, "I been the fuck thru it and life's too short to be cryptic n shit about something as beautiful as this love I'm in. So Pete it is."
It's a busy time for Grande, as her new single "The Light Is Coming" featuring pal Nicki Minaj is arriving tomorrow (June 20) along with the Sweetener album pre-order.
