Ted Cruz has got home court advantage, and the odds are showing it. Heading into a Saturday charity basketball game being held between him and late night host Jimmy Kimmel, the Texas senator is favored to win at 5-11, while Kimmel is listed at 8-5, according to the online betting site, Bovada.

Jokingly named "2018 Blobfish Basketball Classic," -- a nod to a joke the talk show host made about the senator's appearance -- the game is scheduled to take place at 5 p.m. at South Texas University in Houston.

With each basket counting as a single point, the game will be first to 15. Loser must donate $5,000 dollars to the winner's charity choice, between either Texas Children's Hospital (if Kimmel wins) or the Houston-based education non-profit, Generation One (if Cruz wins).

Senator Cruz taunted the late-night host in a tweet, accompanied by a video of Cruz missing shots in the gym, earlier this week.

The two's beef began when Kimmel poked fun of an outfit Cruz had wore to a Houston Rockets game. The senator responded with a tweet challenging Kimmel to a game.

Kimmel accepted under one stipulation: Both players must wear short shorts. The senator declined.

Tickets to the game are free if you register online using the promo codes #TeamCruz or #TeamKimmel.
