Demi Lovato Pranked Her Bodyguard In Vegas and Twitter Is Not Having It

Demi Lovato is taking some heat over an answer she gave to a fan's question on Twitter about pranking her bodyguard Max.

On Sunday morning (June 3), Lovato took to Twitter to answer random questions from fans, ranging from whether she likes pasta to what her favorite wild animal is. Things took a controversial turn when the 25-year-old singer responded to the "funkiest prank" she has ever pulled on someone.

"I hired a lady of the night in Vegas and send her to Max's hotel room to surprise him. She walked into his room without permission and grabbed him in his 'area' and he freaked the fuck out hahahaha," Lovato wrote in a now-deleted tweet.

Lovato's response drew criticism from many social media onlookers who accused the singer of sexual harassment and assault. "So she hired someone to walk into someone's room and sexually assault him. Okay girl," one Twitter user wrote.

Another person tweeted she was "beyond disgusted" by the joke. "I'm... not okay with this. Like, this is legitimately a shitty thing to do. That is sexual harassment on Demi's part, and sexual assault on the the other woman's part."

After seeing the blowback online, Lovato deleted the tweet and dismissed the matter, writing, "I swear I could tweet something about craving jelly beans and it would offend someone." She added that those who were offended should listen to her song "Warrior," and noted that she doesn't need to be educated about sexual abuse.

"For all of those coming at me rn, listen to the lyrics of Warrior and maybe you’ll have more compassion for someone who made a simple mistake. Of all people I know about sexual abuse. You don’t have to educate me," the singer wrote.

Lovato finally ended up apologizing to anyone who was offended by the prank. See the tweets below.
