Kanye West Responds to Recent Rap Beefs: 'I've Never Been About Beef, I'm About Love'

Kanye West has remained unusually silent amid the recent beefing between Drake and Pusha T -- until now.

"I’ve never been about beef  I’m about love    lines were crossed and it’s not good for anyone    so this is dead now," West tweeted Friday night (June 1), a day after the release of his new album, Ye.

Last week, West was dragged into the nasty feud when Drake released the diss track "Duppy Freestyle" -- a response to Pusha's "Infrared," from his new album, Daytona -- on which the Toronto rapper responds to ghostwriting allegations by pointing out that he's helped write for Kanye.

In the midst of the Drake-Pusha T beef, Che "Rhymefest" Smith used the media hype surrounding the feud to highlight Kanye's supposed lack of involvement in Donda's House, a nonprofit co-founded by the two Chicago rappers in honor of West's late mother. Kanye's wife, Kim Kardashian, came to the defense of her husband, refuting the claims.

In an unexpected move, West remained silent throughout the whole ordeal, likely to stay focused on the release of his highly-anticipated new album, Ye, which has been welcomed with open arms by fans and critics alike following a star-studded listening party in Wyoming on Friday (June 1).

Let's hope Kanye's latest comments put an end to the bitterness once and for all.
