K. Michelle Talks Multiple Surgeries to Remove Illegal Butt Injections: 'It's the Scariest Thing in Life'

K. Michelle is one of countless women who have turned to illegal procedures in the past to achieve the butt they want. Now, the Love & Hip Hop star is warning others about the not-so-attractive side of the aftermath, which led to four surgeries and two blood transfusions.

“I wanted to look like a Coke bottle,” she told People of her desire to change her figure years ago. She heard about a man in Atlanta who would inject her bottom half with silicone to shape her body into one that's a bit more curvy.  “He wasn’t a doctor," she said. "It was black market, it was these ‘hydrogel’ injections—that’s what they were being called. When I found out my favorite rapper did it, that’s when I decided, ‘I’m getting it done.’”

The five years following were great until 2017, when she started suffering from migraines, fatigue and pain in her back and legs. Doctors found out the silicone had spread down her legs, which damaged the tissue.

As a result, she became ill and had to undergo multiple surgeries and blood transfusions. While she's still in the process of recovery, the R&B singer took to Instagram last week to talk about the mental health that goes alongside a drastic body change. "So today I forgot that I don’t have a big ass anymore," she wrote. "I looked at this picture and said girl your attitude is 2bad for your ass to be this small, it’s time for self readjustment. Big booty bish mentality with a real snack in the back. Lol. I’m kidding! I feel great and as spicy as ever. One more surgery Tuesday. Imagine loving yourself minus enhancements and likes."
