New York City’s newest venue, Pier 17, is set to open on July 28, bringing a mix of music and comedy superstars to the borough’s Seaport District for the inaugural season of the Pier 17 Rooftop Concert Series.
Kicking off with a free public concert from Jon Batiste with the Dap-Kings on July 28, Pier 17 has an impressive and diverse lineup for 2018 including Amy Schumer, Kings of Leon, Diana Ross, Trevor Noah, Slash, Bebe Rexha and deadmau5. The venue will see a total of 21 shows in its first year, with Thievery Corporation closing things out on Oct. 12.
"We knew it was important to put together a group of artists that accurately reflected the diverse musical landscape of this vibrant city. Pier 17 is truly a one-of-a-kind venue that has something for everyone to enjoy,” Stacie George, senior vice president of Live Nation, New York said in a statement. “Live Nation is committed to bringing New Yorkers the very best in live entertainment, and we look forward to an amazing summer of rooftop events."
