This was the couple's first major carpet together.

On Monday (May 7), celebrities and the fashion elite alike ascended the stairs of The Metropolitan Museum of Art for the annual Met Gala -- a fundraiser for the museum that has become a showcase for elaborate costumes matching the theme of the year. Kylie Jenner has been known to stunt at the gala and did not disappoint with her return to the star-studded event -- this time with beau Travis Scott on her arm.

The event, which had a theme of Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, marked Jenner’s first major appearance since the birth of their daughter Stormi in February. It was also the couple’s red carpet debut since they began dating last April.

Jenner and Scott complemented each other in sleek black ensembles designed by Alexander Wang. The 20-year-old fashionista opted for an elaborate, architectural gown, while Scott wore a military-inspired suit and harness.
