JAY-Z on Meek Mill Prison Release: 'A Son of Philadelphia, Is a Free Man'
Meek Mill has been released after five months in prison, and is ready to dive back in to new music.
His management, Roc Nation, is thrilled to welcome the rapper back into their arms, but more importantly address some potential issues in the United States criminal justice system. They said in a statement: “We are pleased with the Supreme Court’s decision to grant Meek Mill bail and allow him to return home to his loved ones. We are grateful for all the support that Meek has received from his fans and public advocates over the past five months and look forward to working alongside Meek to fight for criminal justice reform.”

Throughout Meek Mill's sentence, JAY-Z has been outspoken over his outrage on the situation. In November, he wrote an op-ed for the New York Times, in which he cracked down on the rough relationship between the courts and black people.
