After about five months in prison, Meek Mill has finally been released. As expected, friends and family immediately congratulated the rapper on his freedom.

T.I. in particular called his pal, and documented the happy moment on Instagram. “I told you not to take that 10 years of probation,” he joked to Meek, who was originally sentenced for violating his probation after a 2009 gun and drug case. “I told you, ask the people if you can do two years right quick.”

“You really walked that s—t down better that I could have. I ain’t going to lie to you,” he continued.

T.I. also took the opportunity to let his fellow rapper know how influential his jail time was. “You became a household name, that’s really what happened. Like before, you had to be a fan of rap to know who you the f—k you was, now you became a household name."
