Matt Skiba, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker of Blink-182 attend the Blink 182-Karaoke Summer Tour Announcement at the Blind Dragon on April 28, 2016 in West Hollywood, Calif.

Blink-182 have announced that fans won’t have to wait another five years for new music. Bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker shared Snapchats from inside the studio, with Hoppus’ caption reading: “New Blink-182 songs day one.”

In the snaps, Barker can be seen wailing on the drums in his signature fashion wearing a black beanie and matching sleeveless T-shirt. The second snap finds Hoppus sitting on a couch strumming his guitar as he gazes deep into Barker's eyes.

While no further details regarding the new tunes have been announced, the trio recently confirmed a 16-date residency at Palms Casino in Las Vegas that will begin May 26 and run through November 17.

“When the Palms asked us to do a residency here in Vegas, we said ‘Absolutely!” said Hoppus in a statement. “Now, we just have to cast our showgirls, create our set list – a true throwback of Vegas classics with Sinatra, Liberance. Maybe we can even marry someone on stage…the possibilities in Vegas are endless.” The band has referred to their residency as the Kings Of The Weekend tour.
