Kanye West Unleashes a Series of Twitter Messages: 'Distraction Is the Enemy of Vision'

Kanye West took to Twitter on Tuesday (April 17) to share some burning thoughts. "As a creative your ideas are your strongest form of currency," the rapper began. "You have to protect your ability to create at all cost."

West then seemed to offer a warning to other artists. "Try to avoid any contractual situation where you are held back from your ideas," he wrote. "Distraction is the enemy of vision." West added: "Sometimes you have to get rid of everything." You can check out all the tweets below.

The "Famous" rapper recently reactivated his Twitter account, returning to the platform to share an emotional memory about Lamar Odom. Odom has since responded, thanking West for his heartfelt tweet.

West is known for his Twitter rants but has kept away from the site for the past year and a half, following his hospitalization and cancellation of the rest of his Saint Pablo tour in November 2016.

"Some people have to work within the existing consciousness while some people can shift the consciousness," he tweeted April 15. "Often people working with the existing consciousness are jealous of those who are more in touch and they become hard-core capitalist in hopes of creating the illusion that the value of money is worth more than the value of time and friends."
