Rock ‘n’ roll survivor and Hall of Famer Steven Tyler could tell some wild stories. And he gets the chance to do just that in a new documentary, Out On A Limb, due out May 15 through Momentum Pictures.

Tyler has, of course, mellowed with age and the wild stuff is way behind him. But he's still finding new wells of creativity and earning respect from his peers.

In a new trailer, which can be seen below, Tyler takes us to the center of the action as he hits the studio and belts out songs from country-flavored 2016 solo debut We're All Somebody and its tour in support, dubbed Out on a Limb.

Directed by Casey Tebo, the film features interviews with the likes of Tyler, The Loving Mary Band, Robert Deleo, Jaren Johnston, Starfighters and Slash, who, in the new trailer, praises the singer as a “good role model” for others around him.

Reps for Tyler say the documentary is an “intimate portrait” which traces his journey as “he embraces the challenges of shifting gears, both as a solo performer and in a new genre of music.”

The release of Steven Tyler: Out On A Limb will kick off the opening night of the 49th Annual Nashville Film Festival on May 10. Tyler hits the road this summer for a national solo tour with Nashville's Loving Mary Band.
