Del Mar Festival includes deep comedy lineup with Craig Ferguson, Iliza Shlesinger and Nick Offerman

One of Southern California's premiere music festivals has just announced its 2018 lineup, with a number of unique headliners that aren't playing the festival circuit this summer.

KAABOO Del Mar's fourth annual festival will take place Sept 14-16, with Foo Fighters, Katy Perry, Imagine Dragons and Robert Plant (with his Sensational Space Shifters band). The fest marks only the second U.S. appearance for Perry this summer, and the third U.S. Festival for the Foo Fighters.

Rounding out the lineup is a strong support slate that includes Halsey, Post Malone, Wiz Khalifa, N.E.R.D, Incubus, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gucci Mane, Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators, Alice in Chains, Billy Idol and more. This year's festival also has an impressive comedy slate that includes television personality Craig Ferguson, late-night talk show host Iliza Shlesinger, Parks and Recreation's Nick Offerman, Craig Robinson and more.

This year's festival includes the Humor Me comedy club, Southern California’s largest on-site contemporary art fair in the indoor Artwork area, Palate gourmet food and craft beverage tastings and Club Elevate, a Las Vegas-Style nightclub for guests 18 and over, as well as he Bask Day Club, a pool party presented in partnership with MGM Grand’s Wet where guests can rent cabanas and enjoy poolside panorama views of the Grandview stage.

“This year’s music and comedy announcement offers all of our guests a highly curated lineup that varies from the derivative mainstream festival circuit,” KAABOO Chief Brand and Marketing Officer Jason Felts says in a statement. “We are proud of KAABOO’s depth and diversity of talent which we bring to our guests each year. KAABOO offers something for everyone including a lineup of emerging bands that is always fun to see our guests discover.”

Nominated for the 2017 “Music Festival of the Year” award by Pollstar, KAABOO Del Mar is located at the Del Mar Racetrack and Fairgrounds in Southern California. The festival's Kindness program supports a number of charities: One dollar per every pass sold is donated to featured partners including The Recording Academy’s MusiCares program, as well as the San Diego Armed Services YMCA, Surfrider and Voices for Children.

All passes go on sale today (March 22) at 9 a.m. PT. General admission Hang Loose passes start at $249, while VIP passes run between $849 and $3299 and include exclusive culinary options, private restrooms and an invitation to a sneak peak party featuring Kool & the Gang.
