Shawn Mendes Has Fans Freaking Out Over Cryptic Tweets That Seem to Hint at New Music
Shawn Mendes took to Twitter on Monday (March 19) to post three cryptic images, one of which displayed two dates -- March 22 and March 23 -- seemingly teasing new music. The tweets came a few hours after Mendes tweeted a photo of a billboard in Times Square in New York City that reads "Shawn Mendes: Coming Soon" alongside the Spotify logo.
A second photo was plastered in New York with an image of a hand-drawn flower and the hashtag #SM3.
Fans have taken to Twitter to speculate what the two dates mean -- and to freak the eff out.

This also comes after fans posted screen shots of direct messages on Twitter from Island Records, who signed Mendes in 2014. The messages seemingly invite fans to an event featuring Mendes.
The majority of fans, though, shared their excitement over new music from the Canadian crooner.
