Katharine McPhee Sings 'Waitress' Song 'She Used to Be Mine' Ahead of Broadway Debut: Exclusive First Listen

Katharine McPhee is hitting the Broadway stage next month in the smash musical Waitress, and fans are getting a first listen of her debut via Billboard today.

McPhee’s strong, clear vocals are perfect for “She Used to Be Mine,” the Sara Bareilles-penned hit from the show. The songstress hits the high notes so naturally, it’s hard to believe she has never performed in a Broadway musical before (well, not counting her Broadway-bound character in NBC's Smash).

McPhee will play the lead role of Jenna -- Keri Russell's character from the 2007 movie that inspired the musical -- which was originated by Tony winner Jessie Mueller and also played by songwriter Bareilles.

Listen to McPhee's version of “She Used to Be Mine” below, and catch her in Waitress from April 10 to June 17.
