Tommy Lee was knocked unconscious in a surprise attack by his adult son, Brandon, the former Motley Crue drummer claims, while rubbishing reports that the punches were thrown in self-defense.

Sources told TMZ the hard-partying rocker was drunk when 21-year-old Brandon, one of Lee’s children with Pamela Anderson, landed some blows at the family’s Calabasas property. But the musician blasted that story as “bullshit.” He tweeted, “My fiancé and I were in bed when my son busted into the room and assaulted me. I asked him to leave the house and he knocked me unconscious. He ran away from the police. THAT’S the truth.”

Earlier, the 55-year-old muso posted a selfie of his bloody lip, which required treatment. The now-deleted Instagram was captioned, “My heart is broken. You can give your kids everything they could ever want in their entire lives and they can still turn against you. Good job Brandon. Great son!" Police reportedly came to the home, but no arrests were made and it remains unclear what led to the dust-up.

The alleged fracas comes after an interview with Piers Morgan during which Anderson recounted her own domestic abuse at the hands of Lee in 1998, an incident that led to jail time for the rocker (Lee addressed the assault in the 2001 Motley Crue biography The Dirt).

Lee fired back at Morgan. “Think she’d find something new to discuss instead of rehashing old shit but I guess she has nothing else going on & needs attention,” he tweeted.

The family feud comes less than a month after Lee announced his engagement to 31 year-old Vine star Brittany Furlan.
