Wendy Williams Announces Return Date to 'The Wendy Williams Show,' Reveals Jerry O'Connell as Replacement Host
Today (Mar. 6), Wendy Williams revealed she will be returning to her show on March 19, after a "much-needed" break to rest and take better care of her health. The TV host took to Twitter to announce the news, while revealing that Jerry O'Connell will be her temporary replacement during her three week hiatus.
Williams initially announced her hiatus about two weeks ago (Feb. 21), letting her viewers in on her struggle with hyperthyroidism and Graves’ disease, which she has been publicly open about for several months now.
“Jerry has been such a good friend to me and to the show. We’re happy to welcome him as a guest host... Can’t wait to get back in my purple chair," said Williams in a statement, as reported by EW. O'Connell reassured Williams on keeping her tone for the show while she's away: "We will say it like we mean it!"
