Tony award-winning actress Ruthie Ann Miles tragically lost her 4-year-old daughter Abigail in a traffic accident Tuesday morning (March 6). Miles, who is pregnant, was crossing the street in Brooklyn with her daughter, her friend Lauren Lew, and Lew's one-year-old son, when a driver ran through a red light, killing both children. Miles was injured, and is said to be in stable condition, according to New York Daily News.

Born Ruthie Ann Blumenstein, Miles won a Tony award in 2015 for best featured actress in a musical for her performance in The King and I. Friends and members of the Broadway community including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Platt and Kristin Chenoweth have rallied with an overwhelming outpouring of love, many linking to a GoFundMe page for Miles' family, which has already raised around $93,000.
