Demi Lovato Roasts Perez Hilton on Twitter: 'He Doesn't Deserve the Relevance'

Demi Lovato isn’t the type to mince words or shy away from a fight. Perez Hilton found that out first-hand on Monday as the pop singer roasted the gossip columnist on Twitter.

Without identifying her target, Lovato boasted that she got to sing “Sorry Not Sorry” to the face of “one of USA’s most notorious bullies. It felt so f---king great.” She followed up by insisting he would remain nameless “because he doesn’t deserve the relevance that he doesn’t have anymore.”

The "Confident" singer's double-whammy comes after Hilton gave a passable review for her March 3 Tell Me You Love Me show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. “I am a Demi Lovato fan. She wasn’t bad. She was better than before,” he said in his video recap. “I have nothing bad to say.”

On Monday, Hilton responded to Lovato’s Twitter slapdown. “Demi Lovato thinks I'm irrelevant and wants to give me a little relevance by tweeting about me,” he posted on his website. “Sorry I'm not sorry I said nothing but nice things about her and it.”

It’s the latest escalation in a simmering beef that goes back to a shady Ariana Grande versus Mariah Carey meme posted in June 2016. Lovato took offence to Hilton "liking" the meme, a back-and-forth ensued and, today, their quarrel is playing out for the world to see.
