Roger Daltrey Joins Rock Legends Cruise
Five-day voyage also features Buddy Guy, Dave Davies and Kansas
On the heels of disembarking from their sixth sold-out voyage, Rock Legends Cruise today announced rock icon Roger Daltrey is joining the water-bound rock concert's seventh run next year, Feb. 14-18, 2019. Buddy Guy, Dave Davies and Kansas have also been confirmed to perform aboard the largest rock festival at sea.
Daltrey is the longtime frontman of The Who, also tours as a solo artist, and is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, winner of the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and a Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
Guy is a pioneer of Chicago’s fabled West Side sound, and has influenced generations of guitarists and earned the Presidential National Medal of Arts in 2012 for distinguished artistic achievement. Davies was lead guitarist of The Kinks and a key part of the 1960s British Invasion, with hits including "You Really Got Me," "All Day and All of the Night" and "Sunny Afternoon." Kansas fused the complexity of British prog rock with an American heartland sound and became one of the most popular bands of the 1970s and '80s, with hits including "Carry On Wayward Son" and "Dust in the Wind.”
The 2019 voyage of the Rock Legends Cruise will depart from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and head to the Caribbean coast of Mexico’s eastern Yucatán Peninsula, with a four-night itinerary that includes a lineup of more than 20 artists, 60 concerts, artist meet & greets, interviews, acoustic sets and more. Rock Legends Cruise takes place aboard the Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas. The cruise is presented each year by The Native American Heritage Association and the money raised is donated directly to in-need Native American families living on reservations in South Dakota and Wyoming.
