Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence has become known for her incredible relatability in real life and her captivating performances on screen. In a new clip from an upcoming 60 Minutes interview, she reveals that before she reached those heights, she dropped out of school at 14 years old and has not completed any other formal schooling since.

The Red Sparrow actress sat down with host Bill Whitaker and explained that she does not have a GED because she knew she wanted to act from the moment she read her first script.

“I never felt really smart,” she said of her early years in school. Then, Lawrence said she found acting and something clicked: "That was a whole part of my brain that I didn't even know existed. And I didn't want to let it go."

She said she doesn't regret the decision: "I wanted to forge my own path. I found what I wanted to do and I didn't want anything getting in the way of it," she says. "Even friends, for many years, were not as important to me as my career."

The full interview will air on 60 Minutes on Sunday (Feb. 25) at 7 p.m. ET/PT. Watch the preview on CBSNews.com.
