Amy Schumer debuted the trailer for her upcoming comedy I Feel Pretty on Thursday's (Feb. 8) episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where Schumer was a guest.

The film follows Schumer's character, an ordinary woman struggling with feelings of insecurity and inadequacy, who wakes from a head injury believing she is suddenly the most beautiful and capable woman in the world.

As Schumer explained it, her character "has low self-esteem and really wants to be pretty and feel all of the parts of life that open up to you when you're just gorgeous." After falling off her bike at SoulCycle, she starts seeing herself as a supermodel, Schumer explained.

"I look exactly the same, but in my mind I am Gisele. I am one of the Jenner-Kardashians," she said.

Indeed after Schumer falls off her bike in the trailer, she is stunned when she looks in the mirror.

"That's me?" she says, pointing to her reflection. "I'm beautiful!" She then starts walking around, radiating confidence.

In addition to the Trainwreck star, the film also features Michelle Williams, Emily Ratajkowski, Rory Scovel, Saturday Night Live stand-out Aidy Bryant, Busy Philipps, Game of Thrones' Tom Hopper, Adrian Martinez and Lauren Hutton.

Screenwriters Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein (He's Just Not That Into You, How to Be Single) also directed the film, which is their feature directorial debut.

On Ellen, Schumer said of the film, "It's a really funny and sweet movie that I think will make us all feel better. It made me feel better to play the role."

The comedian had previously teased the trailer's release on Wednesday on Instagram, which also showed the first poster for the film.

I Feel Pretty is slated for release on June 29. Watch the trailer and Schumer's Ellen appearance, below.
